Has one team ever been as far above the other one in the modern era as right now? Even in our worst years I felt like we had a ok chance to pull an upset. Now it’s worse. Just about everyone on this board thinks there is essentially no chance.

If you don’t count 08 as Dabos first year (I don’t) he went 6 years before he won this game. So I’m telling myself that when trying to gain confidence about our future. I don’t think they have gotten any better in the last three years. I think it’s more of we haven’t progressed any. Hopefully we see a little of that Saturday despite our 142 injuries (which sucks)!
No. Clemson has never been this good since the last few years. We have never been as good as they are right now. They have owned us for the most part if you think most of the games were playedd in Columbia. However i think we are 10-18 at Clemson which isnt to bad
I think this year is an outlier on the rivalry. Even when Spurrier won 5 in a row, Clemson always had a chance. Not saying a miracle can’t happen this year, but that’s about what it would take. Vegas sees it as a 3+ score game. They usually don’t miss too many this late in the season.
I was born in 1985. Before our 5-game win streak, we beat Clemson in 1987, 1992, 1994, 1996, 2001 and 2006. That's it. They have dominated us my entire life. And we just take it. And take it and take it and take it. If our BOT and Administration hated Clemson like the people on this site, maybe we'd kick their teeth in like they do us
Clemson is just a championship caliber team during this run, last year 8-3 top 25 at home had people alil fooled about hope, but when they are on their game only a couple teams can compete or beat them....Bama being one of course. It would take some self destruction for it to be a game, but their defense is so good it buys the offense time to get going. It just is what it is, either Clemson has to come down a notch or two, or SC has to be a top 10 caliber team again.
