One of the top players in the country picked up a Clemson offer this week. Shawn Murphy, 6-2 220, of Manassas, Virginia, is ranked as the #1 inside linebacker in the country for 2022, as well as the #1 player in Virginia. He is currently rated as the #3 player in the nation, according to 247.
With 41 offers, Murphy is on just about everyone's "must have" list, including the usual "big boy" schools; Alabama, UGA, LSU, Ohio state and Clemson. Can UVA or VT keep this dynamic player at home? Probably not. Players like Murphy usually look for greener pastures elsewhere.
