It took Dabo Swinney and staff a long time to get into the "2022 Offers game", but when they did, it was with both feet. Last week, he offered teammates Kamari WIlson and James Monds III out of Fort Pierce, Florida. Today, he offered 17 players for the 2022 class.
The first one today went out to Mauldin, SC, cornerback Jeadyn Lukus. He is the first SC football player to be offered since Tyler Venables of the 2020 class. To date, there have been 70 offers in the 2021 class, yet, zero players from the state of South Carolina. According to 247, Lukus is ranked as the #2 player in the state of South Carolina in the 2022 class, and the #11 cornerback in the country. Clemson's offer was the 15th currently for Lukus. Expect that number to grow by the end of the year.
"Jeadyn Lukus -- long with good speed, aligns in bump, tracks the deep ball well, flashes good ball skills, physical at setting the edge, good tackler, good upside with added knowledge, size and strength." ----- Tom Luginbill, National Recruiting Director, CFB Analyst, ESPN.
Congratulations, Jeadyn. The best is yet to come.
