You can bet this article and that tweet from that moron will be printed out and sent to every recruit considering South Carolina that another program wants. Now, the Gamecocks aren't the only bunch that does this, but this shows you why it isn't helpful, positive or negative.

Twitter is a crapfest any way. Thomas didn't mind throwing the Gamecocks under the bus,and stoking the fire on a few occasions himself if I remember correctly. No doubt he was directly asked this question by the reporter. Move on JC
Clemson has to be the whiniest damn fan base out there. As if being in the playoffs and all the attention that comes with it isn’t enough, they have to constantly portray their fans or their players as victims. Wasn’t it last year that Dabo or their players claimed our fans threw stuff at them at W-B and it turned out to be untrue?
This is a non story. My gawd. It isn't like the tater nation doesn't say, tweet, and text just awful things about gamecocks as well. We just don't cry about it as much as they do. JC you can't just cherry pick things like this. There are probably hundreds of poorly thought out, dumb, and disgusting texts sent to recruits every day. While this is regrettable, and in very poor taste, there's no way of knowing who did this or why or if it was even a Gamecock fan. XT should be more concerned about the way he handles himself, instead of crying about some anonymous tweet from some unknown source. This is something that probably happens all the time, and it better ignored rather than brought up for everyone to see. I've heard more disgusting things from tater fans that would make this look like scripture compared to what they said about our kids and coaches.
