Small fanbase, podunk college town, yet they gush over them with tweets like:
Where have you been the last 3 or 4 years ?
It's not that Clemson is their darling, it's that Dabo is the media darling. He loves a camera.
I remember when that rock was whole, and have read the stories about its treasured history as a door stop.
That rock has has been through a lot. From just being sediment in the desert sand, to a door stop, to players wiping their hands before a game after using the restroom, to being stolen, then back to hand wiping. If that rock could speak I bet it would say,ā WTF Iām just a rock!!!ā.
Well, you can't argue they are the 2nd best team in CFB over the last few years. And who cares if it is a small town? A lot if college towns are and many of is Gamecocks come from small towns too
Don't forget that rock being damaged by one of their own fans after they spent weeks accusing gamecock fans of doing it
Well, it certainly helps that they've been in the College Football Playoff the last 3 years in a row and are among the favorites to get back there again in 2018.
