I was talking with a Clemson fan, one I know but not well, and he was as mad as could be about Clemson dropping again in the poles from 3 to 4. He said that they were undefeated and had done what you are supposed to in order to stay where you are in the poles and that they should not keep dropping. I sat quiet for a minute and then responded politely, "Isnt that the same thing that happened to kelly bryant at Clemson? He was undefeated as a starter this year, had done all that was asked of him, yet he was demoted for someone that dabo thought was better." The voters for the poles did the same thing. That obviously was not the correct response to this guy as he went on a tirade about how Bryant was not doing much of anything against inferior opponents and it was clear that Lawrence was better and deserved it. Again, he admitted, accidentaly, Clemson played inferior opponents, had not performed well, and had been passed by teams playing better against stronger competition. Not trying to start something, but just found his tirade interesting along with his perspective.
