I’m interested in what people expect to happen with Scar and Clemson this season from the perspective of a cock.
From this tigers perspective I’m going 11-1 Tigers. 8-4 Cocks.
Clemson probably won't lose in the regular season. If they do, it'll be an upset and, unless there are significant injuries, I don't see it.
I think SC will go 9-3. I think we'll be quite a bit better than last year, but still lacking the depth in several key positions.
Pretty spot on. Yall usually slip up in a game yall should dominate, pitt, syracuse, maybe BC this year. And unless we beat ky or a&m itll be pretty much the same record as last year.

It's hard to go undefeated in P5, which is why there hasn't been more than 1 team to do it in a year since 2010. Clemson is better than every team on their schedule, and will be DD favorites in all games, but they have shown that they can slip up. 11-1 is a safe bet. They won't lose 2.
SC will be underdogs in 4 of their 12 games. They'll probably win one of those, and lose another they should win. 8-4 is a safe bet.
Expectation Point of view
Too many people read "expert" opinions during the off season and base their
predictions off of emotions from those opinions (good or bad), and in reality, a whole
bunch of little things can come together quickly (good or bad) and make expert's
opinions look really bad when the season is well underway. For that reason, in my
older years now, I've learned to become less dependent on someone else insider
knowledge and opinions and just taken a wiser "wait and see" approach to the
season.
All I expect is for the Gamecocks to improve overall as a team from the time the
season ended last year, and also, for the individual positions to improve. That
happens when players get better at their jobs in the off season, and the coaches
build quality depth through recruiting and teaching better fundamentals as the
players gain experience.
That said:
Looking at your opinion of the Gamecocks ( 8-4 ) from "Expectation" might be a little light.
This team will be a year further along in experience, and much better at most positions
for quality depth (with maybe the exception of linebacker). Last year, our biggest issue was
our offenses inability to score early in the games, and dug itself into a hole before comnig
from behind late to win games. That put a hell of a stress on our defense which played well
above their talent level, to keep is in games, and even won a couple / three games for us
last year. Our offense was lousy on third down conversion, and sustaining any kind of
drives, so three and outs were common through the first half, and into the early third
quarter of almost all our games. ... We've changed the OC, offensive schemes, and we've
added to the staff, a proven QB coach that should help Jake become a better decision
maker and field general, and that SHOULD improve our offense. If the defense continues
it's progress it's made over the past two seasons (and all indications are, it should) and
the Offense can stay on the field more than 3 or four plays, then this team should improve
overall. That said to point out, that with all our shortcomings, all the lack of depth and the
constant injuries to our starters through most of the season, this team ended up 9-4.
It was one hell of a coaching job to manage 9 wins against a pretty strong schedule, and
the sputtering offense and injuries.
This coming season, the Gamecocks should have better depth almost roster wide, AND
we are playing a schedule that (on paper) is very advantageous for us, for the first time
in several years. That is a recipe for at least another 9 win season, and if we can pull off
one of the two big upsets (again, on paper) or even both (being UGA and Clemson) then
this team has the makings of a 10+ win season.
Appearance and Expectations wise, we should be a strong contender for the Eastern Conf.
title this year. But that again, is by Appearance only. I just expect improvements and
hope for the best.
