COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) —
The Richland County Coroner says a former Clemson University football player injured in a crash last week on Percival Road has died from his injuries.
Coroner Gary Watts says 31-year-old Cory Groover of Johnsonville died at a Columbia area hospital Sunday afternoon.

The Columbia Police Department said the crash occurred April 23 on Percival and Screaming Eagle Roads at about 8 a.m. The crash involved a dump truck.
Traffic was backed up down Percival Road in both directions.
Grover played defensive tackle at Clemson in 2004 and 2005. He finished his career with 52 tackles and two sacks. Prior to his career at Clemson, he played at Southwest Missouri Community College, and was a standout at Hannah-Pamplico High School in Florence County.
The Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
