Although I'm going to miss the spring game, which ticks me off, it should be fun to watch, even though it really won't be what people are wanting to see.
If Dabo breaks the team up like he did last year, the offense will struggle for both teams. Last year you had 4 quarterbacks working with 16 different OL, 14 wide receivers and 6 running backs, all participating in this glorified practice. You had Bryant, Johnson and Cooper both operating behind split starter offensive lines. You had the running backs split, the defensive line split up, as well as every other position. People coming to see how powerful the offense can be or how dominating the starting defense can be are going to be disappointed.
From my point of view, which Dabo never calls and asks for, is I would love to see the first team offense go against the first team defense, the 2nd and 3rd team offense go against the 2nd and 3rd team defense. I would like to see Bryant, Johnson, and Lawrence all take reps with the first team offense. This is the only way you're going to find out WHO runs the offense better. I apologize to those who are Zerrick Cooper fans but I simply don't see him in the picture. I see Brice probably redshirting. Once again, Dabo has not seen fit to call me yet and ask me my opinion.
Thoughts????
