4-star Safety Andrew Mukuba out of Austin, Texas, has narrowed his college choices to 12 schools. Clemson made the list, along with Texas, Arizona State, Auburn, Alabama, TCU, Georgia, Michigan State, Missouri, LSU, UCLA and Arkansas. According to ESPN, Mukuba is ranked as the #7 safety in the 2021 class. Texas appears to be the heavy lean here, possibly wanting to stay close to home, but he listed half the SEC. This list doesn't really give any indication on where he is really favoring. CSN will update when we know more.
For LBJ Austin High School, Mukuba played both ways; WR on offense, safety on defense. As a receiver, he caught 30 passes for 621 yards and 10 touchdowns while recording 22 tackles and two interceptions in the secondary. Look for Mukuba to move up in the rankings with a solid senior season.
