One of the top cornerbacks in the country, Ga'Quincy McKinstry of Pinson, Alabama, has narrowed his college choices to five. Clemson is outnumbered four SEC schools to one. Along with Clemson, McKinstry will choose amongst LSU, Alabama, Auburn and Georgia.
McKinstry, 5-11 172, is rated the #2 cornerback in the nation, right behind another Tiger target, Tony Grimes of Virginia Beach, Virginia. He is also ranked as the #1 player in the state of Alabama in the 2021 class. Grimes and McKinstry have talked about playing together at the next level. Only time will tell if these two make it happen and where. Grimes will announce his top 3 May 31st, and expected to make his final decision December 1st.
