The Clemson Tigers basketball team looked like they had finally got it together in ACC play after a rough start. The Tigers are currently riding a 3 game losing streak coming into Saturday’s matchup with Boston College. Clemson is coming off a 13 point loss to Florida State and losses to both Miami and Louisville by one point. Boston College is coming off a loss in overtime to NC State.

Standings wise in the ACC, the Eagles are ranked 10th, a spot below the Tigers. The Eagles are 13-12 overall and 4-9 in conference play. The Tigers stand at 9th in the ACC and are 15-11 overall and 5-8 within conference play.

The Eagles are coming into Saturday’s matchup averaging 72.1 points per game, 37.0 rebounds, 12.4 assists and are allowing opponents to score on average, 72.3 points per game.

Offensively, The Eagles are led by guard Ky Bowman in points and assists per game. Bowman averages 19.3 points per game and 4.0 assists, Bowman field goal percentage stands at 42.4%. Johncarlos Reyes holds the highest field goal percentage on the team. The center has a field goal percentage of 65.5%.


Defensively, Steffon Mitchell holds the highest amount of rebounds and blocks per game. Mitchell has on average, 7.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocks. Ky Bowman has the highest amount of steals per game, The guard averages 1.3 steals per game.

Clemson averages 69.3 points per game, 35.2 rebounds, 12.0 assists and allow their opponents to score on average, 64.3 points per game.

Marquise Reed leads the Tigers offensively in points per game, the guard averages 18.7 points per game and has a field goal percentage of 44.4%. Shelton Mitchell has the highest amount of assists per game, the guard averages 3.0 assists per game. Elijah Thomas holds the highest field goal percentage on the team. Thomas has a 63.2 percentage and averages 13.1 points per game.

Defensively, the Tigers rely on Marquise Reed and Elijah Thomas. Thomas averages 7.7 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game while Reed averages 2.0 steals per game.
