Clemson got a huge surprise as prior to tip off today Brad Brownell found out Marquise Reed was able to go today against the Gamecocks of South Carolina. Reed who suffered a sprained knee and has been out of the line up for the past 2 games, lit up the game and led all scorers with 20 points leading the Tigers on the way to a 77-68 victory.

Reed combined with the consistent play of Eli Thomas was key in today's victory. Four Tigers ended up in double figures as Reed, Thomas, Mitchell and Skara all hit the double digits in production. Silva led the Gamecocks with 18.

The Tigers have now won three straight years in the basketball series. Clemson now improves to 9-3 on the season, meanwhile the Gamecocks are reeling with a 4th consecutive loss now at 4-7. An Important game for the momentum moving forward for each team was today's game as both squads get ready for Conference play in January.
