QUICK HITS • Winthrop head coach Tom Riginos was an assistant coach at Clemson for eight seasons (2003-10). • Tiger student assistant coach Ben Paulsen, who starred at Clemson from 2007-09 and later played in the majors, is the son of Tom Riginos. • Clemson is 7-0 for the first time since 2010, when the Tigers started the season 8-0.
